What Age Calculator is
Date of birth is required. Age at is optional. Leave Age at empty and the page uses today in your browser. Fill Age at when you need age on a past or future calendar day: a form deadline, a school cut-off, or a “how old on that Tuesday” note. The result is years, months, days, total days, and the next birthday from the Age at date.
Leap-day births are handled in a simple way. A 29 February date of birth uses 28 February in a non-leap year. That matches many Western civil calendars. It is not every culture’s count. Some systems treat East Asian age, gestational age, or “year of birth only” as the legal figure. This page does not. It increments on the calendar birthday (or 28 February when 29 does not exist). The total-days line is a straight day count between the two dates. It is arithmetic on the dates you typed, not a passport check and not a court exhibit.

- Leave Age at blank for today, or pick another date.
- Read years, months, days, total days, and the next birthday.
- Copy the summary if you want that line in a note or a message.
Common uses
Check how old someone is today without doing the month borrow in your head. See age on a hire date or a trip date. Count total days between birth and a milestone. Find the next birthday when you are planning a party or a reminder. Designers and producers use it for cast notes and “talent is 18 on shoot day” planning. Parents use it for school-year cut-offs when the rule is “age on 1 September.” None of those uses make the page a legal proof. If an agency needs a certified age, they want documents, not this tab.
The next-birthday line follows the same leap rule. In a non-leap year, a 29 February birth is treated as 28 February for the coming celebration date. If Age at is before the birth date, the page cannot give a positive age; fix the dates. Time of day is not in the inputs. Two people born on the same calendar day can still differ by hours in real life. This tool does not model hours. It also does not convert time zones. Privacy
Dates are not uploaded. We do not keep a history of births. Refresh the page and the form is empty. A date of birth should not linger after you close the tab.
