What Compound Interest Calculator is

Principal, annual rate, years, and contribution amount and frequency give a future value, interest earned, an SVG growth chart, and an annual schedule. Compounding matches how often you contribute. Contributions apply at the end of each period. It is compound-interest arithmetic in this browser, not a bank quote and not tax advice.

How to use it

  1. Choose a currency beside the principal, then enter principal, annual rate, and years.
  2. Add a contribution amount and frequency (weekly / monthly / annually). Compounding follows that frequency automatically.
  3. Read the future value, chart, and year-by-year schedule below.
  4. Read future value, the growth chart, and the year-by-year schedule. Copy the summary if you want that line in a note.

Common uses

Sense-check a savings goal or a classroom example. See how regular contributions change the path. Rounding still applies. A real account has fees, tax, and a rate that can change.
