What Image Resizer is

Drop a JPEG, PNG, or WebP. Type width and height, or tap a preset: 1920×1080, 1080×1080, or 1200×630 Open Graph. Lock aspect keeps the photo from stretching when you edit one side. Fit letterboxes the picture into the box. Stretch fills the box and can squash it. Output is PNG or JPEG. JPEG quality defaults to 92%.

The work is FileReader plus a canvas in this tab. The longest edge you can ask for is 8192 pixels. That is a pixel cap, not a kilobyte cap. A 1920×1080 JPEG at 92% may still be large on disk. This tool does not target a file-size budget. For kilobytes after you have the right width and height, open Private Image Compressor. For a grid of tiles, use Image Splitter. HEIC from many phones is not accepted here; export a JPEG first.

How to use it

  1. Open one JPEG, PNG, or WebP. The preview updates as you change the numbers.
  2. Type width and height, or tap 1920×1080, 1080×1080, or 1200×630 OG.
  3. Leave Lock aspect on unless you really want a squash.
  4. Choose Fit to letterbox, or Stretch to fill the box.
  5. Pick PNG or JPEG. Leave JPEG quality at 92% unless you need a harder compress.
  6. Download. The file is built in this tab. Maximum edge is 8192.

Common uses

Make a 1920×1080 still for a slide. Make a 1080×1080 square for a feed. Make a 1200×630 Open Graph image so a link card is not cropped by the network. Downscale a camera JPEG before you drop it into a layout. Upscale only when you accept softness; the canvas cannot invent detail. Fit is the usual choice for OG and slides: the full subject stays visible, with bars if the ratio differs. Stretch is for rare cases where the box must be full of pixels and a squash is acceptable.

Lock aspect when you only know the width you need. Unlock when the brief is an exact box and you will crop or accept distortion yourself. PNG keeps sharp UI and type. JPEG is for photos. Quality 92% is a high default; drop it only if you already know you will compress again. This page will not tell you the output in kilobytes as a target. Check the file on disk after download. If the CMS still rejects the size, compress on Honest Squeeze. If you need nine tiles from one hero, go to Image Splitter instead of downloading one wide file.

Privacy

The photo is not uploaded. We do not keep a copy. Refresh the tab and the preview is gone. The original file on disk is not overwritten.
