How to Play

Match free identical tiles to clear the board. A tile is free when nothing sits on it and at least one left or right side is open. Keep matching until no moves remain or the board is clear.

What Mahjong Solitaire is

Mahjong Solitaire is a single-player tile match in this tab. The turtle layout starts with 144 tiles. You remove a pair of free tiles that show the same face. A tile is free when nothing sits on it and at least one side — left or right — is open. Seasons match other seasons. Flowers match other flowers. Clear the board to finish. Your best time stays on this device.

How to use it

  1. Tap a free tile, then the matching free tile. Locked tiles will not select.
  2. Undo puts the last pair back. Hint marks one matching pair if one exists.
  3. Shuffle remixes the faces still on the board when you are stuck, if no free pair remains.
  4. New starts a fresh layout. Scores opens the local best list.

Common uses

A calm clear on a commute. Practice which edge tiles are actually free. Beat a local time without a sign-in. Use Hint once, then finish the rest yourself.

Privacy

The layout is dealt in this browser. Tiles and times are not uploaded. A best time is stored in local storage on this device only. We do not see the board or the clock.
