Tempo runs from 40 to 240 BPM. Set it with the stepper, the number field, or the slider. Time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8. Subdivisions: none, eighths, triplets, sixteenths. The downbeat is accented so you can hear bar one.
Space starts and stops. Tap tempo lets you tap along to a recording until the BPM follows. Sound is Web Audio in this tab. There is no install and no account. Close the tab to stop the click. Headphones help in a shared room.
Warm up scales at a fixed pulse. Slow a hard bar, then climb ten BPM at a time. Count a waltz in 3/4. Feel a compound 6/8 or 12/8 without guessing. Practice 5/4 or 7/8 when a chart leaves the common grid. Add eighths or sixteenths when the click on the beat is not enough. Use triplets when the part is swung or ternary.
Drummers use the accented downbeat to check fills that land on one. Guitarists use tap tempo against a rehearsal recording. Singers use a quiet click in headphones before a take. Teachers put it on a shared screen so a class can see the beat lights. It is a pulse, not a drum machine and not a backing track. There is no song library and no MIDI export.
If the click feels late, check that the tab is in the foreground. Some browsers throttle timers in background tabs. Start again after you return. If the room is loud, drop subdivision to none so the accent is easier to hear. If you need a silent visual only, mute the device and watch the beat row. The lights still move.
There is no microphone and no recording. We do not capture your playing. This device may remember last tempo and time signature. Subdivisions are not saved. Clear site data if you do not want that kept.
