What Simple Calculator is

You get add, subtract, multiply, divide, percent, clear, and a decimal point. The display starts at 0. Tap digits, then an operator, then the next number, then equals. C wipes the entry.

It is built for a finger or a mouse in this tab. There is no history upload and no cloud tape. Divide by zero shows an error on the display. For unit swaps such as km to miles or °C to °F, open Unit Converter. For a bill split, open Tip Calculator.

How to use it

  1. Enter the first number. The pad starts at 0.
  2. Tap +, −, × or ÷.
  3. Enter the next number. Use the decimal if you need a fraction.
  4. Tap =. Use percent when you want a share of the current value. Tap C to start again.

Common uses

Add a short column of prices. Check a discount by taking a percent, then subtract. Split a day rate by hours. Multiply a quantity by a unit cost. Confirm a tip you already figured on paper. Catch a spreadsheet cell that looks wrong. Work a homework line without opening a full office suite.

Shop staff use it at a counter when the till is busy. Students use it for a quick check. Designers use it for pixel math that does not need a sheet. Travellers use it for a cash total in one currency. It will not convert units by itself. It will not store a running tape you can export. Chain operations on the pad the way you would on a cheap desk calc.

If the display shows an error after a divide, tap C. Zero on the right-hand side is not a valid divisor here. Very long results shrink on the display so the digits still fit. That is a visual fit, not extra precision. Do not treat this pad as a scientific tool. There is no memory register, no square root key, and no tax button.
