What Sudoku is

Sudoku is a 9×9 logic grid in this tab. Fill every row, every column, and every 3×3 box with the digits 1–9, each used once. Some cells start given. You fill the rest. Notes are pencil marks if you want them. A mistake highlight, if the page shows one, marks a digit that already breaks a row, column, or box. The puzzle is generated or loaded in this browser.

How to use it

  1. Tap an empty cell, then a digit. Tap again to clear if the control allows it.
  2. Switch to notes to pencil in candidates, then turn notes off to place a final digit.
  3. Use a new puzzle when you want a fresh grid. Undo steps back if the page offers it.
  4. Finish when every cell is filled and no row, column, or box repeats a digit.

Common uses

One puzzle on a commute. Pencil-mark a hard box before you commit. Check a row you keep miscounting. No account and no saved cloud game. The grid you are on lives in this tab.

Privacy

The grid stays in this browser. Digits you enter are not uploaded. Close the tab or refresh and the current puzzle is gone unless the page keeps a local draft. We do not see the numbers.
